Online Therapy for High-Functioning Adults Experiencing Burnout, Anxiety & Trauma

Online therapy in Waterloo for healthcare professionals and high achievers

You look capable and composed on the outside. Inside, you may feel anxious, burned out, emotionally overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself.

I provide trauma-informed online therapy in Waterloo and across Ontario for adults who carry high levels of responsibility — professionals, caregivers, healthcare workers, and high achievers who are tired of holding everything together alone.

Whether you’re navigating anxiety, unresolved trauma, burnout, relationship strain, or the long-term effects of childhood emotional neglect, therapy can help you feel more grounded, clearer in your decisions, and more connected in your relationships.

Online therapy in Waterloo for helpers, healers and high achievers

You may be:

  • Struggling with anxiety even though you’re successful and high-functioning

  • Experiencing burnout from caregiving, healthcare work, or leadership roles

  • Overthinking, people-pleasing, or feeling responsible for everyone else’s emotions

  • Carrying childhood experiences that still affect your relationships today

  • Finding it difficult to rest, set boundaries, or feel emotionally safe in close connection

If this resonates, you’re not alone — and you don’t have to keep managing it on your own.

How I help

I integrate evidence-based approaches including EMDR therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and somatic mindfulness to help calm anxiety, process trauma, and build emotional safety.

As a former engineer turned therapist, I bring both structure and depth to our work — supporting high-achieving adults who want therapy that is practical, grounded, and transformative. Together, we focus on helping you feel more regulated, confident in your decisions, and connected in your relationships.

Registered Psychotherapist | Anxiety & Trauma Therapy in Waterloo & Ontario

I’m a Registered Psychotherapist providing anxiety and trauma therapy in Waterloo and virtually across Ontario.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked as an engineer — a path that taught me structure, precision, and problem-solving. My own experiences with loss and personal transformation eventually led me toward psychotherapy, where I discovered that true strength isn’t about suppressing emotion — it’s about learning how to work with it.

Today, I specialize in supporting high-functioning adults navigating anxiety, burnout, unresolved trauma, and relationship challenges. Many of my clients are healthcare professionals, caregivers, and high achievers who appear steady on the outside but feel overwhelmed internally.

My approach integrates EMDR therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and somatic techniques. I offer therapy that is both grounded and emotionally attuned — combining practical tools with deeper trauma work when you’re ready.

If you’re looking for therapy that respects both your resilience and your sensitivity, I’d be honored to connect.

Trauma-Informed Therapy in Waterloo & Ontario

Your healing journey deserves both warmth and wisdom. Drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic EMDR, Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) and mindfulness, we’ll work together in a way that feels right for you. Every online therapy session is a blend of proven therapeutic techniques and genuine human connection.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS helps you understand the different “parts” of yourself — the overachiever, the protector, the anxious voice — and build greater self-trust and emotional balance. This approach is powerful for healing childhood experiences and reducing inner conflict.

EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing)

EMDR helps the brain and nervous system process overwhelming experiences so they no longer feel as activating in the present. It’s particularly effective for trauma, anxiety, burnout, and persistent negative beliefs about yourself.

Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT)

EFT helps you understand your emotional patterns and attachment dynamics so you can feel more secure in relationships — including your relationship with yourself.

Somatic & Nervous System Work

Trauma and chronic stress live in the body, not just the mind. Through gentle somatic awareness and nervous system regulation, we help your system move out of survival mode and into greater steadiness.
